France!

Well, I'm skipping my usual routine by writing about FRANCE. I'm talking about some of the highlights in the lovely landscape. Now I can't promise that every detail is here, these are just some of my favorite spots which I've never been to, but I'm hoping I can visit someday.

France is the most visited country in the world. It has everything that you could ever want to see on your holidays: a great city like Paris, good beaches, more monuments than any other country, lovely nature, incredible mountain scenery; need I go on? France is also a very pleasant place to stay. It has good food, great wines and people enjoy their lives. And the best thing is, maybe apart from Paris, living in France does not have to be expensive. The North of France consists of the flatlands around the town of Lille and the English Channel. This area will remind visitors in many ways of Belgium and the Netherlands. The Grand' Place in Lille for example is a lot like the one in Brussels.

PARIS
Paris, the city of light and its surroundings are some of the most visited areas. Paris is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cities on the planet. With so much to see and do, renting one of the many Paris apartments is the perfect way to enjoy the city. Having the time to enjoy this fantastic location like a true Parisian is an unforgettable experience.

MONACO
Monaco is the second smallest country (by size) in the world; only Vatican City is smaller. Monaco is also the world's second smallest monarchy, and is the most densely populated country in the world. The state consists of only one municipality (commune). There is no geographical distinction between the State and City of Monaco, although responsibilities of the government (state-level) and of the municipality (city-level) are different.

MARSEILLE
Marseille is the second largest city in France and is located on the Mediterranean Sea in the province of Provence. It is 771km (479 miles) south of Paris; 187km (116 miles) southwest of Nice and 31km (19 miles) south of Aix-en-Provence. It is one of the most important cities because it is the largest commercial port in France. Marseille is the capital of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur région and is surrounded by many historical buildings. Despite of this Marseille is a modern city with charming beaches and shopping centres.

CANNES
The city of Cannes is situated in the southern part of France, in the Riviera region and has a population of approximately 70.000 inhabitants. Cannes is very famous around the world for its Film Festival and also for its Cannes Lions Festival. This a luxurious city and has tourism as its principal resource. Cannes offers some of France's finest hotels.

FRENCH ALPS
The French Alps are part of the large European chain of mountains know as the Alps. They are primarily known for their outdoor activities, which include Alpine Skiing and mountaineering. Lesser know but still popular sports. in the region include white water rafting, golf and paragliding. The region is also noted for its stunning beauty, including many alpine lakes, the largest being Lake Geneva (Lac Leman), Lac d'Annecy and Lac de Bourget; these lakes are year-round attractions for their beauty and access to numerous water sports.

These are just some of the places I hope I can visit in France someday. Well, I better start saving up then. It'll take me about half of my life span just to travel to all these beautiful sights. I'm a dreamer, and I just hope this dream of mine can come true. :)
